The results of item tests, material analyses and workplace studies performed by the BG Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (BIA) are supplied to the commissioning party in the form of test reports, test certificates, assessments, or measurement/analysis reports. The results of basic research are published in BIA Reports or in articles in specialist journals, adapted for practical implementation, and included in the form of safety information sheets in the BIA "Measurement of Hazardous Substances" Folder or the BIA Manual. Each year, the BIA publishes a compendium of its staff's publications from the previous year, classified by subject.The publications for the year 2000 comprise 47 projects from the field of chemical and biological hazards, eight articles on the subject of physical hazards - noise/vibration, eight projects from the area of personal protective equipment, 30 articles on machine protection - safety of machinery, three projects on structural engineering, and 16 interdisciplinary projects and conference reports. The titles are listed in German and English, together with bibliographical information. A database containing summaries of BIA publications in English, German, French and Spanish can be accessed over the Internet at http://www.hvbg.de/bia under the heading "Database Publications". |
