Abstract
Using a sampling pump measured air volumes are drawn through activated carbon in adsorption tubes. The adsorbed 1,1,1-trichloroethane is desorbed with carbon disulfide and then analysed in a gas chromatograph equipped with a flame ionization detector. For the quantitative evaluation a calibration curve is used in which the 1,1,1,-trichloroethane concentrations of the calibration standards are plotted against the peak areas obtained with an integrator.
