Abstract

The main objective of this sub-project was to identify appropriate indicators of the effectiveness and financial viability of all the prevention services offered by the German social accident insurance institutions (BGs). In order to achieve this objective, the following steps were followed: clarification of the terms ?quality? and ?indicators? with regard to the prevention work done by the BGs; development of a methodological concept for the systematic representation of comparable quality characteristics in prevention; compilation of indicators to prove the effectiveness and financial viability in prevention (literature analysis); assessment of the indicators and creation of a quality score; and finding tools to measure the indicators of each prevention service of the BGs.
