The working results obtained by the BIA (Institute for Occupational Safety) by means of object testing,
material analyses and workplace investigations in the form of test reports, test certificates, opinions,
measurement or analysis reports are made available to the client. In the case of basic investigations, the
results are published in BIA Reports or in specialist journals, conditioned for use in the practice and
included in the "BIA manual" (BIA-Handbuch).
At the beginning of year, BIA issues a summary of colleagues' publications of the preceding year which is
categorised according to special fields. The publications of 1995 include 50 contributions to the topic
"Chemical and biological influences", 8 articles on the subject "Physical effects, Noise - Vibration,
6 contributions to the field "Personal protective equipment", 23 essays referring to "The Safety of
technical equipment", 2 contributions relating to "Workshop equipment" as well as 12 comprehensive
articles and meeting reports. In addition to bibliographic data, the booklet includes abstracts of each
contribution in German, English, French and Spanish.
