Using the example of carpal tunnel syndrome, this article describes the development of quality standards for declaratory procedures in the German Social Accident Insurance. These quality standards are aimed at establishing basic principles for uniform processing by the accident insurers and increasing transparency for accident insurers, medical expert witnesses, persons concerned, and their attending physicians. |
